Carrying the Torch of Bacha Khan: Leading with Peace, Justice, and Democratic Resolve

The leadership of the Awami National Party (ANP) is rooted in the rich legacy of resistance, non-violence, and democratic struggle carried forward by iconic leaders such as Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, widely known as Bacha Khan, and his son Khan Abdul Wali Khan. Inspired by the Khudai Khidmatgar movement—a historic non-violent movement for freedom, justice, and Pashtun rights—ANP’s leadership remains committed to the principles of peace, social equity, and constitutional democracy. Today, the party continues to be guided by these foundational values, with leaders who strive to uphold the rights of all citizens, protect cultural identity, and promote progressive and inclusive governance across Pakistan, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
